Born from
a single question.
Two scientists returned from London with an idea that had no precedent in Indian fine jewellery. What followed was years of research, refinement, and the construction of a new kind of a jewellery house — one where different engineering and science disciplines merged with the skills of master artisans to
create a blend of Science and Heritage.
"Why is precision engineering reserved for Swiss watchmaking — and never applied to fine jewellery?"
This was not a rhetorical question. It was the founding thesis of Zefire — asked by two siblings, a Robotics engineer and a Neuroscientist, who had spent years in London studying how precision and science compound to produce extraordinary outcomes.
The answer, when they looked for it, did not exist. No jewellery house in India had ever applied industrial-grade dimensional verification to finished pieces. No atelier had ever brought a chemical engineer into the casting process to engineer the grain structure of gold from first principles. No brand had ever published an engineering document alongside a ring.
So they built one. Not from heritage — from science. Zefire began not as a jewellery house, but as a precision engineering problem.
Two disciplines.
One conviction.
A brother and sister who grew up surrounded by engineering — their family's business serves the Defence, Aerospace, Automotive and Jewellery sectors — and who returned from London with degrees that had nothing to do with jewellery, and everything to do with how it should be made.
Aditya's background is in the engineering of systems that must perform precisely under real-world conditions — a discipline that demands measurable outcomes, not approximations. Returning to India, he applied that same framework to gold: if a robotic component can be held to a micron-level tolerance, why not a piece of jewellery?
He oversees the technical infrastructure of the Zefire atelier — the ATOS Scanner, the XRF testing protocol, the casting simulation, and the multi-step gold densification process. Every quality gate at Zefire traces back to a specification he helped write.
Neuroscience is the study of how the brain perceives, processes and responds to sensation — including the sensation of wearing something against the body. At Zefire, it informs every ergonomic decision: the curvature of a bangle, the weight distribution of a pendant, the geometry of a ring that disappears when worn.
She leads design direction and the sensory engineering programme at Zefire — ensuring that the precision delivered by the engineering team translates into pieces that feel as considered as they look.
King's College London and UCL — two of the world's leading research universities. Four years each of scientific rigour, precision thinking, and exposure to how the most demanding industries in the world approach quality. Neither degree mentioned jewellery once.
Returning to the family business — a capital goods and automation company supplying Defence, Aerospace, Automotive and Jewellery sectors — they encountered fine jewellery manufacturing for the first time from the inside. What they saw was a craft industry that had never adopted the engineering disciplines of the industries alongside it.
They began with 3D printing services for jewellery houses. Then moved into casting. Then built a factory from scratch — with scientists and artisans working together from day one. Zefire is the result: a jewellery house that treats precision as a specification, not a description.
Built on three decades
of precision manufacturing.
The founders grew up in a family business that had spent 30 years serving the world's most demanding industries. Defence contracts where a micron of deviation matters. Aerospace projects where tolerance stacking compounds across 10,000 parts. Automotive production where quality is built into the process, not tested in at the end. This foundation — this language of precision — is the DNA of Zefire.

Where engineers and
artisans work in
the same room.
The Zefire atelier in Delhi is not a traditional jewellery workshop — and not a laboratory. It is both. Engineers sit beside artisans. Casting simulations run alongside hand-polishing. In one corner stands the ATOS Scanner — a 3D measurement instrument mounted on a robotic arm, the same instrument trusted by the finest watchmakers in the world. At Zefire, it measures every finished piece. This proximity of precision instrument and human craft is deliberate: it ensures that the two inform each other at every stage.
Three convictions
that shape everything.
Every Zefire decision — from how we treat incoming gold to what ships with your piece — traces back to one of these three beliefs.
The finest watchmakers don't offer precision as a premium tier — it is simply the floor below which they do not work. Zefire holds the same view of jewellery. ±50–100 microns, verified by the ATOS Scanner, documented for the customer. Not a feature. A baseline.
The Certificate of Engineering that ships with every Zefire piece is our answer to the trust question. Alloy composition. Scan report. Serial number. Data you can hold, read and keep. Because the best guarantee is one that does not require trust alone.
Dense grain alloys that resist fatigue for decades. Ergonomic geometries that remain comfortable for whoever wears the piece next. CAD archives that allow future servicing to the original specification. Pieces built to be passed on — not just admired.
"To be the house that proved fine jewellery and precision engineering were never opposites."
Every great jewellery house in history has been defined by what it stood for. Zefire stands for the conviction that the science of precision — the same disciplines that govern the most demanding manufactured objects in the world — belongs in fine jewellery. Not as a story. As a standard. As a document that ships with every piece we make.
Our principal atelier and production facility — where the Zefire process happens in full. From casting and grain densification to ATOS scanning and artisan finishing. The Delhi studio is where every piece is made, measured and certified.
Where Zefire's design language was conceived and continues to be refined. The London office serves international clients and partners, and houses our European design and consultation team. Bespoke commissions and private viewings by appointment.
The founders, the question, the atelier and the convictions that shaped everything Zefire does.
Six documented reasons — the ATOS Scanner, the Certificate of Engineering, the gold science, the process pipeline. Everything verifiable.
